Thirty individuals face drug charges in Pennsylvania

Accused individuals should never take drug charges lightly. The Attorney General recently announced the arrest of 30 alleged drug dealers for the shipment and sale of $1.6 million of crystal methamphetamine. Allegedly, the drugs were shipped from drug dealers in other states to the accused network of 30 drug dealers, who then allegedly sold the drugs. In total, 35 pounds of crystal meth were allegedly sold.

The criminal charges followed an 18 month long investigation. Tactics investigators used included controlled purchases, package interceptions, court-approved electronic surveillance, and other methods. Several local authorities collaborated in the investigation. The 30 accused individuals were charged with possession with intent to deliver drugs, conspiracy and corrupt organizations.

Drug possession and drug trafficking charges carry steep penalties and consequences in Pennsylvania. As a result, it is important to be familiar with criminal defense options to refute criminal charges including drug possession and drug trafficking charges. The precise criminal defense strategy depends on the situation and circumstances but can involve negotiations, challenging evidence, challenging any violations of the accused individual's rights and other aspects of a strong criminal defense strategy.

When an accused individual faces drug charges, it is essential that they know how to promptly protect their rights. The criminal justice system has important safeguards and protections built in for the benefit of accused individuals, which it is important to be familiar with.
