How is collaborative law different from mediation?

Alternative dispute resolution (ADR) is becoming an increasingly popular alternative to traditional divorces settled in court. The purpose of ADR is to come to divorce agreements outside of the courtroom in a more peaceful and mutual manner. One of the more well-known ADR methods is mediation.
